One of my favorite things to do is to photograph weddings with other photographers. It is fun to see how they see the same day unfold and photograph it differently. Last weekend I had a chance to second shoot with my talented friend Ian from Ian Lozada Photography. The wedding took place in Lexington, Kentucky on a beautiful family farm. It did rain most of the day, but we still were able to take wonderful photos. I am so glad to have met Mary and Donnie. They are such a sweet couple and really were great troopers. I love how we were able to grab an umbrella and do photos in the little garden – they turned out great! Mary and Donnie – thank you for sharing your special day – I wish you two all the very best!

Amy + Kyle, a fun Newport engagement session

PottingerPhotoAmyKyleEngagementNewport2
Amy and Kyle are the kind of people that you can easily forget the time and talk to for hours! They are such a nice couple and photographing them was a ton of fun. We were able to incorporate two super meaningful locations for the couple – their church were they will be married and the purple bridge! It was great to walk around the Bellevue area and be inspired. It was funny how nobody would be around and then as soon as we were ready for a photo, people would turn up and walk around. I guess that is the way it works LOL. We were even cracking up as two guys were trying to hold a poker table on top of their car as they drove off – I remember thinking hm I hope they don’t go too fast or let go or this could end badly for them! Overall it was a fun session and I love how the photos turned out. I can’t wait for their wedding this June!
