Nikki and Jared’s wedding day was filled with love and support from their family and friends. Their ceremony and reception were both at The Grand in Covington, Kentucky. It was touching to see the bridal party praying with the couple before the ceremony. During the ceremony the funniest thing happened! When Michael, their officiant, was talking to Jared about how he is to love his wife, just as Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5), a huge clap of thunder rattled the building! Everyone cracked up laughing and Jared said he was listening! All day it had been raining off and on but that was the only thunder we heard all day! What an amazing and beautiful ceremony! The reception was a lot of fun with great dancing. Nikki’s grandparents were the last couple dancing for the generation dance. But the best part – Nikki’s grandpa stayed on the dance floor to get the party started! Nikki and Jared – we hope you had a wonderful honeymoon and we hope you love this little sneak peek of just a few of our favorites!

Many fun things happened while I was in Vegas for WPPI (a wonderful international photographer’s convention). I won a canvas gift certificate for a 20×24 canvas while attending my first class. On the very last full day I won $30 playing Black Jack at the New York New York Hotel and Casino. But the best prize was being picked to win a beautiful album from our album company Zookbinders! When I received the call I was so excited that I was one of the three album winner! The next day I went to talk to my album company to get all the details. They said that they looked through the photos from 80 other photographers (from all over the world) and they picked our photos based on who submitted the best photos! Wow what a great compliment! So they designed and printed us a beautiful 52 page album from Katrina and Chris’ December wedding (our last wedding of 2010). Katrina had a chance to check out the album recently and I loved her response. She said the album really told the story of their wedding day.

Last month I had a wonderful time at photographer’s convention, WPPI, with an amazing trade show. There were so many neat new products to check out. The very first day of the trade show a camera strap really caught my eye. I had been searching for just the right camera strap for quite awhile. I wanted something to look great – that was easy to find – but most didn’t have a thick enough strap or enough padding. So I had been on this search for quite awhile. When I saw these and tried them on I fell in love! So I continued on to think about it for the next couple of days. On the very last day of the trade show I went back and my camera strap was still there! It was meant to be! After using it for two weddings I am still in love!
