Alicia and Todd, a French House Wedding

PottingerPhotoCincinnatiWeddingFrenchHouseWeddingPhoto34

One of the things that I love about Alicia and Todd is that they share so many hobbies and passions together. (It reminds me of Ben and me and yes one of those is photograph for us hehe!) They love to run and bike together and so they included their personalities into their day. One of my favorites was the fun bike cake topper with their names! We also had to get a photo of them with their running shoes. The French House made for a wonderful wedding and reception setting. After announcements and as everyone was eating, we stole the bride and groom away for a few photos. We used the formal garden and even the not so formal garden – the tall grasses. These are my favorites because were able to let them relax together and have a minute! During the reception I loved watching the couple play their version of the newlyweds games – the shoelyweds! When Brandon the DJ asked who spent the most money they both held up her white shoes and everyone started cracking up! Overall the wedding day was a wonderful day and we are so glad that the couple invited us to be there! They are such a great couple and we hope they are having a great honeymoon. A special thanks also goes out to all of the wonderful vendors who did an amazing job!

Congratulations Amy and Kyle

PottingerPhotoWeddingDivineMercyChurchReceptionsKY9

Amy and Kyle had just enough rain on their wedding day for some good luck! We went to Eden Park for a few photos and had the storm clouds and wind roll in. So we did some quick bridal party portraits and then when it was time for photos with the two of them, we had their driver ready with umbrellas. It started to get darker so we rushed back to the cars. And I am glad that we did. As soon as we pulled up to our second location it started raining. Amy and Kyle are such a fun and sweet couple. Their wedding day was full of great moments. And don’t you just love Amy’s shoes! Her bouquet matches perfectly! Their ceremony was at the beautiful Divine Mercy Church and their reception followed at Receptions South. Amy and Kyle – thank you for always being so much fun to photograph and chat with! Their vendors also did a great job and really made the day even more beautiful.

2010 Wedding Mafia Show

DD3_7352
Last week we had a great time meeting new brides at the Wedding Mafia Show. The show was at the beautiful Oasis in Loveland Ohio. So many wonderful vendors were there with great ideas. We brought metal prints, which were a big hit! A special thanks goes to Eleni from Adora Event Rental for the stunning table linens and to Nidhi from Elements Event Centre for helping us with our tables.

The Oasis and Adora Event Rental did a great job with this beautiful table. Red and black are a great combination for wedding receptions. The flowers were designed by H.J. Benken and the lighting was provided by Party Pleasers.

Don’t you love seeing bright colors? They make me smile! This table was designed by Eleni from Adora Event Rental and the flowers were designed by Destiny from Fassler Florist.

The Oasis went all out with their beautiful food display (and yes the food was super yummy too). Jeff from H.J. Benken did a beautiful job with the flower and decor – it looked amazing. I just love how he incorporates beautiful details in his work like hanging lights from the branches.

Chenese Bean was there with her fun table. I always love her girly table with crystals and the accents of pink.

There were many cocktail tables throughout the room that were beautifully decorated by Adora Event Rental and flowers from H.J. Benken. In the background you can see how a wedding is setup at the Oasis.

The stunning cake was decorated by Bakery Hill.

I am a creative person, so I really appreciate working with vendors who can design out of the box and incorporate the personality of the couple. Fassler Florist always is one to check out for stunning new ideas. Below is their signature look for 2009 with the table design for Elements Event Center. But my favorite is their signature look for 2010! They incorporated different levels of glass and lights with mono colored flowers to create a dramatic look! It is stunning! I know that one of the trends for 2010 is to include more lighting into wedding decor and this is one way great way to make your wedding unique.

Want to have a candy bar buffet at your wedding? Scoops and Sweets is perfect for you! I love how colorful a candy bar can be and it makes the perfect personalized favor that your guests are going to love!

MPG Events and Catering is one of my all time favorite caterers. (Maybe because they feed me at all of the vendor events!) I love seeing their unique designs and fun flavor combinations. Yummy!
