I would like to welcome Emily and Travis our newest couple! We are very excited to photograph their wedding in September. Their wedding and reception will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, in Colerain. I can’t wait to photograph their engagement session!

The first time I saw The Inn at Oneonta I just knew it would be an amazing backdrop for a wedding! So it was not a surprise that Lindsay and Scott’s wedding celebration was absolutely beautiful. We started with Lindsay and the girls in the historic Inn. I loved that Scott’s gift to Lindsay was the perfect length strand of pearls and matching earrings. The ceremony was very emotional and included many unique moments. My favorite moment was watching Scott give a watch to his son as a sign of their new family. After the ceremony and a few formal photos we were able to spend some time with just the couple. The train tracks were so much fun especially since there was a train (no one was harmed in the making of this photo LOL). Their reception was under the big white tent and they had the band 3 Day Rule play so many great tunes. For favors, the couple choose wine bottles from their favorite local winery. Lindsay and Scott we really enjoyed working with you and your fun family and friends. We hope you will enjoy this sneak peek! We wish you two all the very best!

On Wednesday I had so much fun photographing Nicole and Jeff for their engagement session. Nicole and I have been friends for quite a while and I remember how happy she was to announce her engagement! So I have been looking forward to her engagement session for a long time! Nicole had her makeup done earlier in the day by Sarah from Eros Salon (doesn’t Nicole look even more amazing!). For their session we wandered around Covington on Riverside Drive and then we had some fun on the Roebling Bridge. We found so many neat spots around there that were so inspiring. Plus I just love how sweet they are together! One reason why they picked Covington for their session is that I could capture them with their favorite building in the background. They have affectionately named him George! The couple has a building they like together how fun is that! Their wedding will be here soon and I can’t wait! Nicole and Jeff, I hope you enjoy this sneak peek! Special thanks to Patti from Take One Studio for the extra inspiration and ideas. I can’t wait to see her work from this session!

When Marielle and Brian booked us over a year ago I just knew their wedding day was going to be amazing and so full of love. It is beautiful to see their faces light up when they talk about each other. Even though it rained a good portion of the day Marielle never complained once! She bought cute rubber boots and a matching umbrella. The great thing was that when it was time for photos in the park, it drizzled a little bit (just long enough to take some fun umbrella photos) and then the rain stopped! My favorite part of the day was photographing the couple in the fun tree house at Mt. Airy Forest. I just love how they were able to just be in the moment and enjoy being married! After a few more photos in the Arboretum area we were off to their fun reception at The Cincinnati Marriott North.  The reception had many fun events like the ShoelyWed Game and a Teddy Bear Toss for kids! Marielle and Brian we hope you two had a wonderful honeymoon and we wish you two all the very best. We have loved working with you this past year!

Marielle and her dad worked on this beautiful 1965 red mustang together! It was so much fun to include it in photos!

Craft Time

Category: Misc. | May 24th, 2011

One of my favorite things as a kid was crafts! After a long day at school I would come home to my little square table and start creating. My mom found projects wherever she could and pretty quickly I would focus on getting down to getting messy! Elmer’s glue, sparkles, construction paper – those were the tools. Often I miss that hands on part when I work on my computer these days. There is just something about peeling glue off your fingers and the feeling of thick construction paper.

When my good friend Stacey from Bridal Divas Ink told me about wanting to do a craft time with the kids at the Ronald McDonald House I was super excited! We shopped at Michaels’ picking out all kinds of goodies to make Valentines with the kids. In March we had a fun St. Patrick’s Day theme complete with rainbows and leprechauns. This month we did fun animal masks, visors and puppets! And Stacey read Where the Wild Things Are as the kids made their animal sounds when she said the word Max! The kids and the parents always really enjoy the fun project! We are so luck to have our friends and wedding vendor friends volunteer with us.  (You know us wedding people are creative hehe!) I can’t wait for next month’s craft project!
