Laughter is always important in a marriage – you need to be able to laugh at yourself and with each other. Vicki and Tom’s wedding day was filled with big smiles and lots of laughter! I just love how excited they are to be married. On Saturday, it rained just enough for a little good luck while Vicki was finishing getting ready. Because of the heat and humidity we stopped at the beautiful Iron Horse Restaurant in Glendale for a few photos. It was really nice for the couple to able to relax and enjoy some time together. Next we headed to Glenwood Gardens for some amazing outdoor portraits with the couple and even though we were all sweating the couple were really great sports. I just love the moments we were able to capture! Before the ceremony I remember Vicki asking Tom if he had practiced his vows and during the ceremony Tom recited his vows perfectly. I was really impressed! When it came to Vicki’s turn she starting saying the vows and then she stopped because she couldn’t remember – so she started cracking up laughing. What a great moment! After the ceremony we headed to Receptions in Fairfield to get their party started! The way the tables were setup was really unique with long rectangle tables back to back accented with pink table runners. Their first dance was my favorite part of the reception. I just love how into each other they are! Congratulations to Vicki and Tom – thank you for inviting us to be a part of your wonderful day. And thank  you for being so much fun! To their friends and family – thanks for being so great!

Rain on a wedding day is said to be good luck. And now I have to agree. I absolutely love that we were able to shoot in our rain location – the Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal. Plus we were able to capture some great moments under an umbrella (the photo of them walking back to the bus has to be one of my all time favorite photos ever – what an amazing way to tell the story of their day with a Cincinnati landmark)! Oh and they had a super fun bridal party that kept me cracking up – something about a panda hat. Their fun reception was at The Madison with a packed dance floor thanks to Hey! Mr. DJ. Another favorite moment was watching the couple and guests crack up as they played the Shoelywed Game! Holly and Dave are such a fun couple! Who else would sport a pair of 80s style pink sunglasses with their wedding dress? When I think of this couple I think of laughter and smiles so I knew their wedding was going to be fun! One of my favorite moments was watching the girls sing to each other. Another great moment was watching Holly and Dave’s faces light up as they walked down the aisle together after they were announced husband and wife. Once we arrived back at The Oasis we took the couple for a few sunset photos. It was such a beautiful day – we couldn’t have asked for better weather! The little cakes were beautiful and I love how they were surrounded by cupcakes with their initial (although I thought maybe the B was for Brenda and Ben). What a neat twist on a classic. Holly and Dave – thank you for always being so much fun! We are very blessed to get to work with such a wonderful couple like you two and your wonderful family! And a big thank you to all of the great vendors that did an amazing job!
